SHOPPING OUR STASH #453 - Summer Lovin'

Hello and good Tuesday morning, crafty friends!
The new challenge at SHOPPING OUR STASH has
started, and the SOS Crew are looking for all the things you
love about summer!

Here's my take on the challenge:

I shopped my stash and discovered this square block cutting plate by
Taylored Expressions I purchased at least two years ago, and yes,
it's the first time using it. Better late than never.
It even comes with those smaller wavy die cuts for each of the larger blocks!
I cut the die from white heavy weight card stock. I colored the frame with a blue marker.
On two of them, I used some ancient vellum stickers, (the sentiments).
On the others, I sponged a couple DI's onto the panels,
then splattered them with white paint. I die cut
the flip flops and sun from scraps of card stock, assembled and adhered to
the block frame. I found some flamingo Washi tape in my stash that
fit perfectly over the one skinny long strip. As a final touch, I added some
insanely tiny sequins to the flip flops and another onto the center of the sun.

I hope that you'll join us in our Summer Lovin' challenge at
Shopping Our Stash! For more ideas, please do check out
what my teammies have created to wow you!
Thanks for visiting! Have a great day!

I dug in my stash of gel prints and found this one to use:

not necessary. Just so long as they are no less than 1/4" in from the edges,
you'll be good to go.

SHOPPING OUR STASH #452 - Wood You Believe?

Good Tuesday morning to you, crafty friends, and welcome!
Today starts the new challenge at SHOPPING OUR STASH!
This fortnight, as the title prompt indicates, we are looking for your
projects that have some type of wood items on it. It could be
designer paper, wood grain embossing folders or stencils, wooden
chipboard items, anything like that.

Here's what I came up with:

and the inside:

On my card, I used a wood grain EF then took a gray ink pad directly to
the raised design to bring it out. Over that, a piece of weathered wood DP.
I thought a nice frosty mug of beer would be the perfect
addition to this masculine card, not to mention a fun sentiment.

I hope that you find some time to play along in our wood challenge
at Shopping Our Stash! We'd love to see your take on it.
Thanks for visiting. Have a great day!

STAMPlorations Retro People ATC paper goods!

 Hi crafty friends!
I'm back sharing a few cards I've made using the new
There's 6 images, three each per package, so lots
of opportunities to use these. 😊
I again was compelled to add some snark to
my cards. LOL! I colored the images using bright,
vibrant Spectrum Noir markers. I wanted to have a
very neutral background on each card, so I made
a master board using various stamps from
Mixed Media Grunge stamp sets.

I used 4 of the images, making two A2 sized cards, and a 5" x 7" card:

These are so much fun to play with, and just a sampling of
what can be created with them! Be sure to visit the STAMPlorations blog
for more information about these awesome new paper goods!

Retro Fashionistas ATC Paper Goods at STAMPlorations

 Hi there crafty friends!
Popping in with a few cards I've created using the new
There are six different designs, three each, in the pack.
As soon as I saw these very posh, elegant ladies, I
knew a little snark was in order to pair them with:

I used two each of the ATC cards, coloring just the ladies then fussy cutting them, and
coloring just the background on the other ones, and popped up the ladies
with foam squares. Also used on my cards are the Clustered Hearts,
Swirly Blooms, and Make Marks 4 stencils for the backgrounds.

Check out the STAMPlorations blog for more information

SHOPPING OUR STASH #451 - Let's Get Sketchy

Good morning and welcome crafty friends!
Happy August to you, (can you believe it's August already?!).
We have a fun new challenge starting over at
Donna is your Hostess this fortnight, and she's found a
link to some free sketches from Craft With Sarah. There are four
sketches to choose from, so have fun and I hope you play along!
I've chosen to use the first sketch for my card:

I tweaked the measurements some to fit an A2 sized card,
but I followed the sketch pretty closely otherwise:

Here's the inside:

Boy did I shop my paper stash for this. Most of the papers used are
15 plus years old! The paper flowers were a score last
year at Tuesday Morning, (before they sadly went out
of business). so you know they are even older than a year.
I hope you can join us this fortnight at Shopping Our Stash,
and create a card using one of the four sketches.
Thanks for visiting. Have a great day!
