Hello and welcome, crafty friends!
This weeks challenge at SHOPPING OUR STASH is to
make a shaker card!

For my card, I used a long neglected die and some ancient dimensional stickers:

SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS #115 - J is for Junk

 Hello and happy Saturday!
We are starting a new challenge today at the
J is for JUNK!
We want to see what you can create with an
upcycled/recycled item!

For my project, I used some gel prints that I made
a few months ago. I ripped them up and decoupaged them
to a shoe box I use for storing some of my stamp sets:

I used five of these prints for the sides and the bottom. These all used the same four
paints, plus stencils, bubble wrap and hand drawn squiggly lines.
(Yes, I use my treadmill as a drying rack. What ELSE am
I supposed to use it for?!)

From blah....

...to Ta-Dah!!

I hope that you play along in our Junk (a.k.a. upcycle/recycle) challenge!
We'd love to see what you create. Just link up at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers!
No need to go all crazy like I did. For much less crazy, but no less spectacular
ideas, do yourself a favor and visit the blogs of my Sistahs, and our new
Guest Designer Janet! You won't be disappointed!
Thanks for visiting. I hope you have a fabulous day!

SHOPPING OUR STASH #364 - Get Krafty

Good morning and welcome crafty peeps!
Or should I say Krafty peeps, because that
is our new challenge at
SHOPPING OUR STASH: use kraft paper on your projects!

I finally used this negative die cut that had been sitting on my
desk for a few months. I thought it would make a cool
Christmas card:

and the inside:

I matted it onto a scrap of black card stock. Some designer paper, a sentiment
sticker and a tiny red rhinestone finishes it off.

Now it's your turn! Just create something using Kraft paper and
link it up at SHOPPING OUR STASH! We'd love to see
what you come up with. Be sure to visit my teammies and
check out what they created.
Thanks for visiting!

SHOPPING OUR STASH #363 - Christmas in July

 Happy Tuesday and welcome!
Today starts a new challenge at SHOPPING OUR STASH:

Christmas in July!

Yep, it's a thing. We all need those cards, so why not get a head start
on making them!
Here's what I came up with:

here's the inside:

I've been trying to actually use my stamps instead of hoarding them.
This beauty is NBUS! I had this hairbrain idea to make the wreath look as
if it's wrapped in burlap. I first tried using a TH burlap stencil and some kraft
ink, but the pattern was too big and just left blobs. Then to salvage that I colored
the wreath in a sandy-gold SN marker. I cut a little square from a burlap sheet, tapped my
blending marker onto it, then dabbed it onto the wreath, holding it down for
a few seconds. This will lift the ink and leave the pattern of the burlap.
It actually worked!

Tip: If you try this, make sure you do this step first before coloring the entire image, otherwise
you'll likely lift color where you didn't intend to. Then once you're sure the
blending solution has dried, you can continue to color the rest of your image.

After I colored the image, I added Crystal Stickles to the snowflakes and Glossy Accents
to the skate blades. The ribbon was also Winked.

Ready to play along? Of course you are! Let's see what you create for our
Christmas in July challenge. Simply link up your project at
Shopping Our Stash so we can admire it. For even more amazing
creations, do yourself a favor and check out what my teammies have
created, and leave some bloggy love while there.
Thanks for visiting. Have a fantastic day!

Big Birthday Wishes

Hi there and welcome, crafty peeps!
I recently came back from a two week vacation, got sick at the back end
of it, and am finally getting back to my beloved craft room.

I broke out my Spectrum Noir markers for this
cute image:

here's the inside:

The sketch I used had a round element in the top corner, so I thought, the way
this little miss is positioned, it looks as if she just let go of a balloon, so that's
how I interpreted it. 🙂

That's all for now. Going to walk my fur baby now.
Enjoy your day!

Here's what I came up with:

I shopped my stash for this stamp. I think I bought it on clearance at least 5 years ago

All I did was color the birdie, and used some free cheesecake clip art to add to
the main panel. Easy peasy!

I hope that you find some time this week to join in our food challenge at
Shopping Our Stash! For more scrumptious ideas, do check out what
my teammies created for your viewing pleasure!

SHOPPING OUR STASH #361 - Geometric Patterns

Hello hello!
Happy Tuesday to you.
This week at SHOPPING OUR STASH, we are
looking for geometric patterns on your projects!

Here's what I came up with:

and the inside:

I came across this neglected chicken wire embossing folder and thought, hey, that
looks like hexagons! And so I ran with it.

Sorry for the busy background. I usually snap my pics on the set up I have on the
dining room table, but we just came back from vacation late Sunday,
and currently the dining room table is
still dump central until I can get everything put away again.
(and now you know I decorated my side table with fairies and minions. Why? Why not!)

Now it's your turn to get geometric! We'd love to see your entry in the
Shopping Our Stash gallery! Need more ideas? Simply visit the blogs of my
teammies to see what they came up with.
Thanks for visiting!
I hope my Canadian friends enjoyed their Canada Day on Sunday, and wish
my American friends a happy Independence Day tomorrow!
