SHOPPING OUR STASH #360 - Red, White, and Blue

 Hello crafty friends!
With the upcoming big Summer holidays approaching
in both the United States and Canada, the
gals at SHOPPING OUR STASH challenge you to
use Red & White, or Red, White & Blue on your projects.

 Here's my card:

and the inside:

A US flag stamped with a paw print and a wee li'l doggie? YES PLEASE!
It's not perfect, but given the fact that I eyeballed every. single. stamped. image, and
didn't use any help from my MISTI, I'm calling this a win. It also might have
been a bit easier to stamp first then cut the panels to size, not the
other way around like I did. LOL!

I hope that you find some time to join in our Red, White & Blue challenge at
Shopping Our Stash! We'd love to see your take on the challenge. In need of
more ideas? Just visit the blogs of my teammies to see their amazing creations!
Thanks for visiting.
I hope all who are celebrating enjoy a happy Independence Day and
Canada Day!

SHOPPING OUR STASH #359 - She's a Craftin' Machine!

Happy Tuesday to you!
We have a fun new challenge starting today at
SHOPPING OUR STASH: She's a Craftin' Machine!
Let's see what you can create with your die cutters, sewing machines, Xyrons, etc!

Here's what I came up with:

I've had that circle cover plate for over a year, and I think this may
be the first time I've used it. NBUS!
Underneath it, I used some ancient Basic Grey paper. The happy birthday
was die cut three times, twice in white card stock, then the yellow
polka dot paper, stacked and glued.

Now it's your turn to use your machines and create something fun! Don't
forget to link up at Shopping Our Stash so that we can see it!

SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS #112 - Q is for Quote

Good Saturday morning to you!
It's time for another challenge at the
This fortnight is brought to you by the letter Q,
as in Q for QUOTE!

I happily found this stamp quote in my stash, and got to work creating this
somewhat CAS card:

The books were colored then fussy cut. I popped them
onto the card base with foam squares after lightly sponging some ink
through a stencil in the bottom corner. Stamped
the sentiment, rounded a corner, and called it a day! LOL!

I hope you get the chance to create something using a quote. We'd love
to see what you created at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers!

Guest Designer, Pirjo, have created for your viewing pleasure!

SHOPPING OUR STASH #358 - Summer Color Pallet

Hello friends and welcome!
Today starts a new challenge at
Yours truly is hosting, and I've picked
a Summer Color Pallet for you to design with:

Here's what I came up with:

I thought the colors would work for a male themed birthday card.
For some reason, the dark blue seemed much darker when
viewed from my laptop (which is in my craft room) than on the PC.
Oh well. I also found that striped paper that had the orange/rust colors
already on it. Bonus!

Ready to play along? Of course you are! Be sure to link up your
project at Shopping Our Stash so we can admire it! For even more
ideas, simply visit the blogs of my teammies to see what they created!
Thanks for visiting!

(Yes, this is a crappy picture of us. I took off my hat and look, hat head! LOL!
If you've ever been to Arches NP, you'll know that it is a HIKE to get to this arch.
It's sooooo worth it though!)

new project:

(This one is very special to me as it's the first card I
made as a guest designer!)

I can't say I have a set style as I love to try different things. LOL!
The closest I can come to is maybe clean and layered.
Speaking of trying different things, here is my new card,
incorporating part of a Gelli print that I made a couple weeks ago.
This print uses the Layered Petals stencil.
It's die cut using the Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting dies from a larger print.
 I've used various stamps from
the Art Marks, Artsy Border Makers, and A Snarky Birthday To You sets.

and the inside:

Ah, snark. I loves me some snark! LOL!

Let's see what you can do now! I'd love to see you case one of my cards shown above,
and link it up on The STAMPlorations blog. Don't forget to link up your wishlist and

Here's my take on it:

 and the inside:

Such a pretty image...and then I went and added a snarky sentiment. (grin!)
