SHOPPING OUR STASH #343 - Stencils

Hello crafty friends and welcome!
Time for a new challenge at

Speaking of new, check out our new banner and side bar
badge that the uber talented Lauren created!
You are da bomb!!

This week's challenge is super easy: dust off those neglected
stencils you've been hoarding and create something with them!
Here's may card:

 Here's the inside:
I bought this stencil sometime last year and, of course,
never used it until now. I applied embossing paste over it and once dry
carefully tapped my VersaMark ink pad over the raised design and
heat embossed in gold EP. I did have to retrace a few spots with the
VersaMark pen and repeat but it turned out pretty awesome IMHO.

 Ooh! Shiny!

I thought the snarky sentiment went so well for a birthday card because
aging = C.R.S. (Can't Remember Sh*t)
(Well, at least it does for me. *wink*)

We hope to see your fabulous projects in our gallery this
week at Shopping Our Stash! For more inspiration do check
out what my teammies created to wow you!
Thanks for visiting, and I hope you have a great day!

Here are the two cards I've made using the same die cut:

The first, a sympathy card.
(These are the absolute worst cards to make)

SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS #104 - T is for Tissue

Hello and welcome snarky peeps!
First off, I want to say that Sister Lynne has made the difficult decision to step down from
the Sisterhood in order to concentrate on her art career. We wish you all the best and will miss you Lynne,
but you know you are welcome back whenever you want. I will still stalk your blog!
Secondly, that being said, we wish to welcome
to the Sisterhood! Woo Hoo! Toni has been a regular player in
our challenges and we are thrilled to have her on board!
You'll be seeing her amazing creations starting in March!

We have a fun challenge starting today at the
T is for Tissue!
That's right, we challenge you to use tissue paper in some way
on your project. You can also use a paper napkin for your
tissue element, as I've done here:

I've had these cocktail napkins for years, and I only just took off the packaging
to make this card. But it gave me the idea for this card I made for our
snarky card swap 4 years ago!

I first separated the design part from the other layer, and adhered it
to some card stock. I carefully brushed clear gesso over that and let it dry.
I used my finger to smudge black ink around the edges, matted it onto some
black card stock, and used foam squares to adhere to my card base.

I had so much fun with using napkins that I made 4 more cards using
one napkin! I had another package of pretty cocktail napkins and decided to
quarter it and make four more cards:

OK, so now it's your turn to use tissue (or a paper napkin) in some way
on your project and link up at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers!
We'd love to see what you come up with. For more ideas, just check out what
my Sisters and our newest Guest Designer, Karola, have created to inspire you!
Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a great day!

SHOPPING OUR STASH #341 - You Stamped With What??

Hello and happy Tuesday crafty peeps!
This week at
we challenge you to use something that isn't a stamp,
AS a stamp, on your project!

Here's what I came up with:

and the inside:

I created a master board by stamping four different inks
using the inside cap from my deodorant!

If you happen to use Sure deodorant, you'll know what I'm talking about. LOL!

I just die cut four pierced rectangles from the master board to use
as background panels. (Now all I have to do is use the
rest of them!)

Now it's your turn! Use your imagination and look at items lying around with new eyes.
Have some lace or doilies sitting unused? How about
some bottle caps? Feathers? Even a wadded up piece of cling wrap could work!
The possibilities are endless! Be sure to link up at Shopping Our Stash so
we can admire your genius! (And possibly case it too! LOL!)
For more amazing ideas, do check out what my teammies
have come up with to inspire you!
Thanks for visiting, and I hope you have a great day!

SISTERHOOD OF SNARKY STAMPERS #103 - G is for Galaxy

Welcome and happy Saturday to you!

We have an out of this world challenge starting today at the

G IS FOR GALAXY!

Galaxy backgrounds are a major trend right now, so we challenge
you to try your hand at making one! There are a
bunch of tutorials on YouTube that you can watch,
like this one, or even this one. These are just a couple.
Perhaps making your own inked background isn't your thing. No problem,
just use some designer paper and save yourself the inky fingers! LOL!

Here's my take on the challenge:

of course, snark on the inside!

I can't take credit for this. I found this meme and had to use it:

Memes are a never ending source of ideas!
I used my computer to print my sentiment and adhered to my card.
The poop emoji die cut was gifted to me by Sister Donna.
I thought it was the perfect embellisment on the inside. LOL!

Now it's your turn to create your own galaxy and link up at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers!
We'd love to see what you come up with! For more fabulous ideas,
do yourself a favor and check out what my Sisters and our Guest Designer,
Helen, have created for your viewing pleasure.

Thanks for visiting!

STAMPlorations Challenge - Paint It Red

To give Shery some much needed time to adjust to being a new Mom to two little girls,
they've combined challenges into one monthly one for a few months.

I decided to use red in my card:

 and the inside:

I started by die cutting the frame in glitter paper
using the two smallest dies from the
Next I stamped the rose from the
Blossom Overture stamp set and colored with Spectrum Noir markers.
The butterfly came from the
Trendy Butterflies 2 set. After heat embossing
it with red glitter embossing powder, I fussy cut both of the images.
I adhered the frame on an angle, then using my MISTI,
stamped the sentiment, also from the Blossom Overture set.
The flower and butterfly were adhered with foam squares.
On the inside, I cut another rectangle die cut and stamped
a sentiment from the Trendy Feathers 2 set.

I love all the sparkle in the butterfly!
