SHOPPING OUR STASH #273 - A Color Challenge!

Hello friends, and welcome! This week at SHOPPING OUR STASH, we have a color challenge! Here is your color pallet to work with:

Here is the card I came up with using these colors:

Once I remembered that I had these leaf dies, this card came together pretty quickly. (and yes, I used a too dark brown instead of a light brown. Oops) I die cut a frame using two of the Deckled Rectangle Nesties, and adhered it on an angle. Then I stamped the sentiment, using my MISTI. After die cutting a bunch of leaves, I just glued them here and there until I was done. I added some clear sequins for a bit of shine. I think the part that took the longest was adding the sequins. I must have spent at least 10 minutes alone moving them around, trying to decide where to put them. Am I the only one who has this problem?

Anyhooo, I hope you find some time this week to play along with our color challenge at Shopping Our Stash! I'd love to see what you create with these colors. For more inspiration, do check out what my teammies, and our October Guest Designer, Gina, have made, and please leave them some bloggy love!

Remember, that if you wish to be considered for our Guest Designer for November, simply leave a 'DT' after your name when you link up! Super easy! Thanks for visiting, and I hope you have a great day!

  1. Great fairly simple LO! I love those deckled rectangles! I get all OCD with sequins too... sometimes I use the "sprinkle" technique, where Ikind of drop them onto the pair and just glue them where they lie... I feel like it gives a true scientific scatter! Lol. Sequins make crafters psycho...

  6. Love this color palette and love your design! The wonky frame and all the leaves are super eye catching! And you totally rocked the all-cardstock design! Had to smile over your comment about sequin placement..... I can totally relate. Don't know why those suckers are so hard to place! ;)
