JUST US GIRLS #313 - Word Week

Hello and good morning all! It's Word Week at JUST US GIRLS. Sue is your hostess, and she's picked the word SYMPATHY. It's always difficult to make sympathy cards, at least it is for me. I don't like that I need to make them, but we all do, from time to time. That being said, I persevered and came up with this card:

 Here is the inside:

This was the result of experimenting with my water based markers. I cut a thin panel from water color paper, then took stamps and colored directly onto them with different colors of markers, stamping onto the panel as I colored the stamps. Then I took my water mister and gave the panel a light misting so the colors would bleed. Once dried, I backed it with black card stock before adhering it to my card base. I stamped the sentiment and added a row of rhinestones underneath it.

I hope you find some time to make a sympathy card or project, and link it up at Just Us Girls. We'd love to see what you create! While there, please check out how the ladies interpreted this challenge. Oh, and since it's a new month, I'd also like to welcome Julie Gearinger as our October Guest Designer!

For our October Chic of the Week winners, we will be doing something a bit different this year. The gals decided that we will take a short break in December for the holidays. And since we didn't want to short change our October winner, if you are picked as Chic of the Week for any of our October and November challenges, you'll be in the running to be our Guest Designers for the month of January. That's right, two Guest Designers for January! (I'm not good with my words, so I hope I didn't completely confuse you! LOL!) I hope to see your entry linked up! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day!

I'd like to enter this at the Simon Says Stamp World Cardmaking Day challenge.
