SHOPPING OUR STASH #170 - Shower Time!

Hello crafty peeps! We have a fun challenge for you this week at SHOPPING OUR STASH! We want you to make a card or project that is inspired by your shower curtain! Wait. What?! You read that right. Your shower curtain! Here's the card I made:

here's the inside:

Here's my inspiration - my downstairs shower curtain:

I've actually been wanting to make a card based off of this shower curtain for a while now. When I saw that it was to be one of our challenges, I got all giddy! LOL! I used the stem from a flower stamp for the branch - I just inked and stamped it across the top, Then inking just the very bottom of the stem to add more 'branches' here and there. Used some tiny leaf stamps to fill in the top part. On some blue card stock I randomly stamped more leaf stamps in three colors. Since I didn't have a stamp with a 'stitched' design, I opted for the tiny dots border stamp. I inked it first in teal then went over half of it again in rich cocoa before stamping on a strip of beige card stock. A piece of brown ribbon was added, then I stamped the sentiment. The inside was finished using a bit of leftover blue paper, another sentiment with leaves, and ribbon.

Ok, now it's your turn! Got a shower curtain with a design on it? Stripes? Rubber Duckies? Give it a go and make a card or project based on it and link up at Shopping Our Stash! Please be sure to check out what my teammies made and leave them some bloggy love! Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a great day!

Chris

  7. This the best literal translation of a challenge that I have seen in a while. Love the way you were able to practically peel the design off the curtain and place it on your card stock. At a casual glance, it almost looks like a transfer..but then the details begin to fill in...or not! You definitely rocked the house with this creation!
