Shopping Our Stash #156: Oldest Die or Punch

Hello and happy Tuesday to you all! Today starts a new challenge at SHOPPING OUR STASH, and it is to use your oldest die or punch. I opted with my oldest punch. Here's my card:

Here is the inside:

My design is based off of the now ended Case this Sketch #78. I actually don't need a sympathy card, but I decided to make one since I will inevitably need one.  :(  I used the oldest punch I have, which is the arch lattice punch by Martha Stewart. It's so old, it's mint green and the sides don't flip up. See?

(Yeah, I'm anal in that I write the name of the punch on the punch, so that the next time I use it, I don't have to waste time looking up the friggin name of the punch.)

The butterfly sticker was hard to photograph, as the top layer is acetate, so here's a better picture of it:

So, ready to play along with the Oldest die or punch challenge? I bet you are! Don't forget to link up your card or project at Shopping Our Stash! Oh, and please be sure to visit the blogs of my teammates to see what fantastic creations they came up with! Thanks for stopping by! Stay crafty my friends!

  1. 1. I was going to say the Arch Lattice is not that old, but then I saw it was green. Whoa.
    2. And yeah, looking up the names of those punches is a PITA. You are so smart.
    3. My Arch Lattice punch is in my Yard Sale pile. I love it, but never use it. Now you have me reconsidering. *shakes fist*

  3. That is one beautiful butterfly sticker. And I agree with Donna -- writing the punch name on the punch is brilliant! This is one seriously pretty card.

  5. I think I might need new punches...most of mine are green :) And sides flipping up? What nonsense is that? lol!
I love love love this - so perfect for a sympathy card, especially the butterfly - and way better to be making a sympathy card when you don't need it (yet).

  6. I think this is one of my absolutely favorite projects of yours, Chris! Such an elegant and classic design! I LOVE what you did with that border punch. Really love the scattered candy dots, too. And that butterfly is absolutely beautiful!
