Shopping Our Stash #157 - Color My World (use your favorite color)

Hello peeps! Welcome to another week of fun at SHOPPING OUR STASH! This week's challenge is brought to you by the colors of the rainbow! Say whaaa??? We want you to make a card or project using your favorite color! Seems easy, huh? Here's my card:

 Here's the inside:

Truth be told, yellow isn't my favorite color....they ALL are! Seriously, I was outside the other day right after a big storm taking pictures of the rainbow that showed up! But, since I needed to make a baby card for a girl, yellow is what I decided to go with. And I used up more bits of scrap in the process! Bonus! My card is based off of Retro Sketch #118

It's your turn now. Make a card or project using your favorite color and link it up at Shopping Our Stash! While you're there, be sure to check out what my teammies made to inspire you! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day!

Shopping Our Stash #156: Oldest Die or Punch

Hello and happy Tuesday to you all! Today starts a new challenge at SHOPPING OUR STASH, and it is to use your oldest die or punch. I opted with my oldest punch. Here's my card:

Here is the inside:

My design is based off of the now ended Case this Sketch #78. I actually don't need a sympathy card, but I decided to make one since I will inevitably need one.  :(  I used the oldest punch I have, which is the arch lattice punch by Martha Stewart. It's so old, it's mint green and the sides don't flip up. See?

(Yeah, I'm anal in that I write the name of the punch on the punch, so that the next time I use it, I don't have to waste time looking up the friggin name of the punch.)

The butterfly sticker was hard to photograph, as the top layer is acetate, so here's a better picture of it:

So, ready to play along with the Oldest die or punch challenge? I bet you are! Don't forget to link up your card or project at Shopping Our Stash! Oh, and please be sure to visit the blogs of my teammates to see what fantastic creations they came up with! Thanks for stopping by! Stay crafty my friends!

Shopping Our Stash #155: Something Soft

Hello and welcome! It's time for a new challenge at SHOPPING OUR STASH! This week we want you to use something soft on your card or projects. For example: flock, felt, flower soft, satin, fabric, pom poms, etc. Here's the card I made:

 Here is the inside:

I decided to use felt. A lot of it. I used pretty much all the flower dies from Paper Smooches Reflections dies. I even took two of the flowers, cut 5 or 6 of them, then strung them together to make an even bigger flower.

Of course, I forgot to take pictures of the light colored flowers, so the purple blob flower making process will have to suffice. (I was stringing them together while watching Hollywood Game Night and was laughing too hard to remember to take pics!) Once I manipulated how I wanted the petals to lay, I used various yellow brads in the centers of all flowers. I used one leaf die and cut leaves from two colors of green felt. The die cut lattice in the back grounds the flowers. (heh heh, get it?) More die cuts for the sentiment, and finally some stamping on the inside finishes the card. (Plus one more flower!) This card begs to be pet! LOL!

Hope you get a chance to play along with the Something Soft Challenge at Shopping Our Stash! Please be sure to check out the amazing creations that my teammates came up with - You'll be blown away! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great day!

Shopping Our Stash #154: Critters

Hello peeps! Happy Tuesday to you! We have another fun challenge starting today at SHOPPING OUR STASH! Break out those critter stamps and use an animal, or pet theme, on your card! Here's my card featuring a party penguin:

the inside:

This cute penguin is all set for a par-tay! She's loaded up with presents, a cupcake and rocking a stylish party hat! I used up some paper scraps for this card, pulling from the colors I colored the image with. Stamped the sentiment, added some sequins (Thanks again Donna, for all your help with the sequin placement! LOL!) I finished the inside with another sentiment and called it a day.

Ready to play along? I know you are, so getting crackalackin' and make a card or project using a critter(s) and link it up at Shopping Our Stash! Please be sure to stop by my teammies blogs to see what they came up with to amaze and delight you! Have a great day!
