Happy Birthday...CTS#31

Good morning and Happy Friday!!! Woo Hoo!! Hope everyone on the east coast is gearing down for tropical storm Andrea. We are already feeling the effects, and it hasn't even gotten here yet! Ugh!

Here is a card I made for Case this Sketch #31:

the inside:

And the sketch:

I needed to make a masculine birthday card for one of my nephews and really wanted to use this sketch for it. Those are real feathers that I found over the winter. I knew that they would look cool on a card, and finally got to use them! A wood grain embossed background, some corrugated card board, a simple sentiment and I was done!

Thanks for stopping by and feel free to leave a comment! I read every one and I appreciate the input! Have a great day!

  5. Feathers, on a masculine card - and they totally work! I love it! Any idea what kind of bird they came from?

    1. Jessi, they are blue jay feathers. I double checked with my Father-in-Law who is a 'birder' to confirm. Also just found out that collecting any part of any bird, dead or alive, is against the law in the USA. OH CRAP!

  7. Beautiful feathers! I love how you have kept them on neutrals so they get the full focus.

adding pinterest script 3. Changing the Position of the Pin it! button The cool thing about this code is that you have some freedom over where the Pinterest button for Blogger will go over the image. Take a look at the code that you just copied and pasted into the HTML for the word 'center'.
