Smeared & Smudged DT Throwdow #4: Leather and/or Lace

Good morning my lovelies! My design team, the Drunken Stampers, is throwing down on the Smeared and Smudged Forum!  Barb G.Lynne, and myself have been selected this time to represent our team for Throwdown #4: Leather and/or Lace! Man, this challenge is BOUND to be interesting! LOL! Here's what I came up with:

Some close ups:

So, I tried a new technique (to me at least!), and made my own 'leather' using masking tape! I know, right?!  I found a tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers here. (Thanks Beate!) I re-purposed a Christmas candle and made a Halloween inspired leather sleeve for it. I also have two different types of lace on it. Both are white, but for the smaller lace that I used on the edges, I tea dyed it first to give it a more aged look! HA! I stamped the tomb stone, coffin, and skull on white card stock, rubbed walnut stain over the images and fussy cut. I used a red marker to add some color on the tombstone then glued them on the sleeve. I had this big red Bazzill Bauble for ever, and wanted to use it on the sleeve. See that bow? That's tied with black suede! Yeah baby!

Thanks for stopping by and feel free to leave a comment! I'd love to hear from you! Please stop by my drunken sisters, Barb G. and Lynne to see what devilish deliciousness they dreamed up! Voting starts tomorrow on the Smeared and Smudged forum. I love it if you'd vote for Team Drunken Stampers!

Have a fantastic day!

Chris
